WHEN YOUR JOB AND WHAT YOU DO ARE "REAL" YOU HAVE TO "GET REAL".
WHEN YOUR JOB INVOLVES NOTHING THAT HAS "REAL" CONSEQUENCES IF YOU FAIL TO PERFORM TO A "WORKMANLIKE" STANDARD YOU CAN DO WHATEVER YOU FEEL LIKE DOING OR WHATEVER YOU FEEL LIKE NOT DOING NOTHING IS REAL!
UNFORTUNATELY, A FAILURE IN A JOB WHICH DOES NOT SEEM TO HAVE REAL AND VISIBLE PHYSICAL CONSEQUENCES CAN HAVE "UNREAL" CONSEQUENCES WHICH ARE ABSOLUTELY DEVASTATING.
I served the public as a Federal Civil Servant on the Canadian National Railroad where any deviation from DOT Rules, Train Orders, or Law could have obvious physical consequences. Some deviations from "Rules" could not result in any Physical Damage or even Schedule Disruption. Adherence to all "Rules", Train Orders and conducting train movements to meet the work orders Contract Switch Lists was the only course of action that Yard Foremen and Yardmen followed.
Follow my reasoning as I equate the switching and assembly of documents and evidence and the adherence to each and every Law, General Order and the specific job instructions as they are outlined in Legislation, the Oaths and Agreements Civil Servants signed to obtain employment and the Orders I was given regarding the switching of Boxcars where all Law, Rules, Train Orders and Contract Switch Lists and the destination and the nature of the contents of the Boxcars I was switching had to be learned and known and applied.
WHY WOULD CIVIL SERVANTS HANDLE MY AFFAIRS AND MY JOB AT THE CNR AND ADJUDICATE REGARDING DAMAGE TO MYSELF OR MY PROPERTY WITHOUT CONFORMING TO LAW, FEDERAL AND PROVINCIAL LEGISLATION AND REGULATION AND THE CONTRACTS WHICH GOVERN THEM AND THOSE EVENTS AND SITUATIONS?
SHOULD THOSE WHO MARSHAL THE FORCES AND THE REMEDY PROVIDED BY GOVERNMENT NOT HAVE TO BE LEARNED IN THE LAW, COGNIZANT OF REGULATION AND ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN, EXACTING AND THOROUGH IN THEIR UNDERSTANDING OF WHAT, WHERE AND FOR WHOM THEY ARE ADJUDICATING JUST AS WE WOULD HAVE TO MOVING THE "REAL" TRAINS AND THE REAL BOXCARS WITH THE REAL GOODS IN THEM TO THE ACTUAL PLACE WHERE THE REAL PEOPLE WERE WAITING TO RECEIVE THEIR FREIGHT OR THEIR FRIENDS.
