A CULTURE OF CRUELTY

THE "CULTURE OF CRUELTY": A MANIFESTATION OF WIDESPREAD MENTAL ILLNESS IN MODERN  SOCIETY.

I have declared that those who are enamored of punishing, curtailing and seizing when they are in no danger are profoundly and dangerously mentally ill. A proponent of the theory and observation  that there is a Culture of Cruelty pointed out how the infliction of cruelty on some citizens brings about closer bonds between those who have excluded "others". I remember the declaration of a person who is an apologist for the culture of cruelty " They are friends " he said. I was surprised and revolted by the mocking tone of voice, the connotation was that I was not part of "friends".  It is clear to me now that despite my hard work and success I was regarded as in jeopardy and as unprotected because I refuse to fawn upon or to ingratiate myself with authorities. The Culture of  Cruelty obtain their gratification through exclusion and a horrific misuse of State power.
